1. Urban Pump Collector and Ladder - 4 Competitors
The objective of this exercise is to extinguish a fire in a second storey building. A crew of four firefighters work as a team to use hydrant water relayed through a pump and into two lines of hose which are fixed to the side of a ladder. Each team’s time is recorded when the second stream of water hits a target.
2. Urban Pump Disabled Event – 4 Competitors
A crew of four fire fighters gets to work to extinguish a fire at first floor level, after the fire is extinguished the pump becomes disabled. The crew then uses the on board Davey pump to fight another fire at ground level. Water used is from on board first aid tank.
3. Booster Valve and Remote access Bag - 4 Competitors
A team of firefighters hook hoses to a 'booster valve' identical to the apparatus found in high-rise buildings. Water pumped through the booster valve is used to strike a target on first floor. The remote access bag is utilised to further attack a fire at ground level.
4. Ladder Practice - 1 competitor
Individual competitors run 22 metres to a ladder, which is just over 6 metres in height, ascends the ladder to strike a target, the fastest competitor being declared the winner.
5. Urban Pump and Breathing Apparatus - 4 Competitors
A team of four firefighters use water from a hydrant to boost the fire engine's supply, attaching a hose to the hydrant to strike a target. The two firefighters carrying the delivery hose must wear breathing apparatus.
6. Rescue Event – 4 Competitors A team of four firefighters are judged on a pre-operation check of rescue equipment used at MVA . and rescue incidents. Then a practical exercise consisting of knot tying, Combi Tool, RIK and Stokes . litter carrying is performed. The winner is the fastest team to finish after penalties are deducted.
7. Urban Pump and Breeching - 4 competitors
A team of four firefighters using an "urban pump" fire engine, pump water from a hydrant to strike two targets with two lines of 38mm hose.
8. Hose Hydrant & Extinguisher - 3 Competitors
This event is used to simulate an attack on a fire with a water fire extinguisher followed by one line of 38mm hose, which then needs to be lengthened to go deeper into the fire. The time is calculated by adding the time to hit the first target with extinguisher water and the time to hit two targets with reel of 38mm hose.
9. Hose and Hydrant - 4 Competitors
A team of firefighters use mains water from a hydrant to pipe water into two lengths of hose, connected together to strike a target.
10. Hose and Hydrant - 2 Competitors
Two firefighters attach a standpipe to a hydrant, and run out a length of hose and connect a branch which is used to strike a target.
11. Urban Pump Suction - 4 Competitors
A team of four firefighters use a Class 2 Urban Pump fire engine to draught water through a suction hose from a portable dam. Two lines of hose are run out, striking a target with water.
12. Hose Hydrant and Breeching - 4 Competitors
A team of firefighters use mains water from a hydrant and breeching apparatus to pipe water into two lengths of hose to strike two targets.
